Travel communities on +one are purpose-built groups for one specific job: planning an actual trip. The Spiti run next month, a long-weekend beach drive, the “anyone up for a Saturday trek?” post that gets twelve yeses. You find them under the Trip Planning category on the Discover grid, with live member counts so you can see a group is real before you join it.

Inside, the planning happens in the group chat itself. Who's in? A poll. Which route, homestays or hotel, split-the-cab or overnight bus? Polls with bars that fill as the votes land — no forwarded screenshots, no lost thread. Route pins, photos and voice notes from the trip live in the same chat, and the organiser can pin the decision that settled.

Trip groups set their own front door: open so anyone in the city can join instantly, ask-to-join so admins approve each request, or invite-only with shareable +one/c/… invite links for the friends who found you elsewhere. And when the trip's over and the noise is done, per-message disappearing ink lets the logistics chatter fade instead of haunting both phones.
