Every other community type has an agenda. Chai Chat doesn't: it's the in-app category for casual hangouts — coffee and chai runs, “I'm in M Block till noon, anyone about?”, the Sunday walk that turns into breakfast. The name is the whole pitch, and it's the closest +one has to a general neighbourhood-hangout group.
It works because the group is persistent: “chai tomorrow morning?” is a live poll that ends with a time and a spot, and the regulars see every future one without re-introducing themselves. Photos of the actual chai, voice notes arguing about where the good kachori is — it all stays in the same chat, for whoever's in it.
Most chai groups are open: anyone in the area joins off the Discover grid, no admin approval, no interview. That's on purpose — the point isn't a curated club, it's that showing up to one low-stakes thing a week is how strangers in a new city become your people.
Tomorrow morning — chai where?

The live demo above recreates the real community poll screen from the app's own type and tokens — vote bars fill as the poll runs. A production screenshot of this exact screen has not been captured yet; when it is, it drops in here (see app/web/assets/images/).
